This is our very first Blog Post!
And our topic is the (FIRST) Big Island Book Festival that was held September 21st, 2024! The Big Island Book Festival was sponsored by Hawaii Writers Alliance, Stone Compass Press, The Kona Stories Book Store and Keauhou Shopping Center!
Hawaii Writers Alliance had 17 writers at the event, presenting their books
which included children’s books, non-fiction books and novels.
Stone Compass Press - Zack Parker is owner of Stone Compass Press and is the publisher for many of the 17 writers that were at this event.
The Kona Stories Book Store was our host and sponsored the event held at
Keauhou Shopping Center’s courtyard!
We had four wonderful speakers!
Plackett Enterprises created the Digital Program for this event along with co- hosting the welcome table.
And the best news is that we'll be coming back for a Second Year ---! Our Big Island Book Fest will be held again in September (date being finalized!) and we will be back at Keauhou Shopping Center --- we'll have more writers, more speakers and a wonderful event for book lovers all over The Big Island! Cool!
